Professional Services – Solution Engineer EMEA

Job Description:

The AeroScout Solution Engineer is a key leader on the installation, implementation and integration of AeroScout’s active WiFi-based RFID and visibility software solutions for AeroScout’s customers. The Solution Engineer is responsible for successfully designing, deploying, testing and delivering Aeroscout solutions at customer sites beginning with pilots or proof of concepts through all phases of deployment to post-installation technical support. Solution Engineers are the “technical ambassadors” for the company, the primary technical interface with our partners and end customers and are focused on delivering excellence and customer satisfaction.

Based in: Western Europe. Likely work from home office with occasional office visits.

Travel: Up to 75%, primarily in Europe & the Middle East. Some assignments also in Asia-Pacific.

The position requirements are as follows:

• Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands–on experience as a Support/Field/Sales Engineer including enterprise software installations.
  • 2+ years experience with enterprise applications (software and/or hardware).
  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Information Systems/ Computer Science
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following:
    • Application servers
    • Databases (Oracle and/or MS-SQL)
  • Languages: Fluent written and spoken English. At least one major European language (French, German, Spanish or Italian) is essential. Two or more continental languages a significant advantage.
  • BIG pluses:
    • Consulting experience.
    • Technical Training or presentation experience
    • Experience in Location systems – Cisco 2700 LBS/WCS, General TDOA and/or RSSI
    • Experience in IP networks and routers configurations
    • Experience in Wireless LAN
• Attributes:
  • Ability to technically troubleshoot software and/or hardware to isolate a problem and resolve it.
  • Team player with good communication skills, positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Self-starter – ability to work also independently, manage priorities and workload among a number of projects
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate a technical solution.
